McDonald's Happy Meals

The beloved McDonald's Happy Meal! All kids love them they can get cheeseburger or chicken nuggets french fries apples and a drink! Parents love them for the convenience. I know this stuff is not actually food but it does fill my children’s tummies when I’m in a hurry and have something to do.

But wait we are forgetting the most important part!! The Happy Meal Toys!!!  The dreaded Happy Meal Toys!! I think every parent hates them! First off they charge extra for the silly toy and then the toy mostly causes me grief. Either the kids can’t figure it out or they didn’t get the toy that they wanted in the set. Speaking of the set why on earth do you display the whole set but only have 1 available??

McDonalds don’t you know this just causes a 4 year old major meltdown!!  But every child loves them!! So now as parents we are stuck with all of these lovely toys to clutter up our cars, playrooms and houses. They are played with just a few times and then tossed aside for something bigger something better something new. Then What??

What to do with all the Happy Meal Toys is the question???

Well I have an answer. Children who live in 3rd world countries such as Haiti that have never heard of McDonalds and don’t even know what french-fries and happy meal toys are would love these toys. They would put a smile on their little faces and bring joy to their hearts! If any of you have Happy Meal Toys laying around I would gladly take them off your hands and make sure they make there way to a 3rd world country where they will be given to some very deserving children!

When I go to visit the kids in Haiti I try to bring most toys back home with me so the kids have something familiar to play with on my return visits. Having some Happy Meal Toys to take would allow me to let the kids take them back to the orphanage and share with all the other children! I don’t think too many Happy Meal Toys for this project are possible. So please feel free to spread the word to your family and friends!
Lots of Happy Meal Toys = Lots of Smiles!!

If you have Happy Meal Toys that you would like to donate please let me know you can email me at
krp1021@gmail.com or you can give them to me the next time you see you or me can always mail them to me!

Thanks for all your help and support!!

Five Question Friday

Its been a while a long while since I did a Five Question Friday!! So what better to do on a snowy cold January Friday night!!

1. Where do you hide the reeeally good snacks?

I don't really hide them for say..... The whole family pretty much knows what they can and can not eat!! don''t eat mommy's treats!!

2. Do u keep your vehicle clean or am I the only one who has things falling out of their van?
If you have kids in your vehicle i don't know how to keep it clean... I love when its clean I often ask for this for my birthday or mothers day and it stays clean for about 10 minutes!!

3. Have you ever been to Vegas?
Unfortunantely no I would really love love love to go... Yes that was 3 love's!

4. Warm room light blankets or cold room warm snuggly blanket?
This is a hard one..... In the summer I want a cold cold room with lots of blankets! In the winter I want warm room warm blankets warm everything!

5. What is the worst airplane/flying experience you've ever had?
I can't really say I have had one.... Not having very many flying miles under my belt so far its been pretty good... I will say when our plane was delayed and then we boarded and then we had to sit on the plane for what felt like hours to get some book signed that was not fun at all!

Got A Kit Kat

So lately the boys have been wanting to listen to some old school music, some pop music,  basically not country music which is usually what I listen to! Fine with me I like a change in my music every now and then....... And who am I kidding this music was once awesome and I rocked out to it as well!!  Some of the favorites that I have played just to name a few..... Oh and I know some of these songs have some bad words I am fully aware of this people.... We only play small parts of some songs!!
R.O.C.K In the USA
Whoomp There It Is
Macarena
Tubthumping
Baby Oh Woooahhh
Boom Boom Pow

Well Wesley really likes this upbeat kind of music... The other day he was saying he wanted me to play a song so I ask him what it was..... He proceeded to sing it to and it goes a little something like this!
Got a Kit Kat
Got a Kit Kat
Got a Kit Kat
Boom Boom Boom
Boom Boom Boom
Got a Kit Kat

It took me a minute and I realized he wanted
Boom Boom Pow on....
Gotta Get-Get, Gotta Get Get
Gotta Get Get, Gotta g-g-g-get-get-get-get
Boom Boom Boom , gotta get get
Boom Boom Boom, gotta get get

Too Funny we love this kid so much!! He has really been saying some of the funniest things lately!!

2011 was a BIG year wonder what 2012 will Bring ??

As I sit back and reflect of 2011 and how Big of a year it was for our family both emotionally and spiritually I just have got to thank for walking with us the whole way. We started out the year not knowing who or if we would be adopting and we end this year adopting two wonderful amazing children! Our boys here at home have really grown Kaden is in the 5th grade and loves playing whatever sport her can... Over the summer we watched him start to turn into a very responsible young man... sniff sniff... Wesley is in preschool and loves it... he is such a big little man... Hard to believe that in April of 2011 I thought preschool was so far away but when August rolled around he was ready to go! Derline in Haiti who celebrated her 1st Birthday this year, who fits with our family just perfectly and it feels like we have known her forever.. and Juvens who I know will fit in just perfectly with our boys... This little guys made himself known in August when we visited the Orphanage he planted a seed god watered it and we watched it grow into our plan as a family! I am so excited to see what god does with our family in 2012... I have HOPE that things will move faster than we expect them to but I also know this is all part of Gods timing not ours!

02 Corinthians 8: 10-12 ....
so here's what i think: the best thing you can do right now is to finish what you started last year and not let those good intentions grow stale. Your hearts been in the right place all along. You've got what it takes to finish it up, so go to it. Once the commitment is clear you do what you can, not what you can't...

Class of 2019 You Are Amazing!!

So a few months back Kaden's teacher approached me about having the 5th grade students collect gifts for HIS Home Orphanage for there Christmas gift giving this year... I was very touched by this. The teachers felt this was a great opportunity to offer love and joy to others during the Christmas season!  I got the teacher a list of some items that would be good for this and then she typed up a letter and it went home with the children! As you can see by this picture we got a lot of stuff!! This stuff will now make its way to Ohio and get on the container that will go over later this year to Haiti and these items will be used for Christmas 2012! A lot of kids in Kaden's class didn't exactly realize what was going on several them told me hey Mrs. Price I already brought in my stuff for Kaden's brother and sister!! I told them that the items would be going over for all the children!!
I am just so thankful to be in such a loving and caring community our 5th grade parents and students will did an awesome job and We say thank you from the bottom of our hearts!! Words really can't express how this makes us fell to receive these things to send to the children!!
