Thankful Thursday

I haven't done one of these in a while... So today this thankful Thursday is going out to my sweet baby girl Derline... We love you so so much and we can't wait to meet you and bring you home. We are so very thankful that god has brought you into our lives!! We know we have a long road ahead of us but we are so so thankful now to know your face your name and your story. We always felt your presence in our hearts and know we can see you too!! Asking god to put his loving arms around you while you are in Haiti and keep our baby girl safe!!
We love you Baby D!!

Dayne Crist tweeted me back!!

I know this is probably going to sound crazy to a lot of people but I was on top of the world last night.... You see earlier in the day I had seen a tweet that Dayne Crist (ND QB) had posted about going to see Fast Five with his dad.... Well i didn't want him to miss the ending credits like I did so I sent him a tweet that went like this.....
@dcrist10 make sure to stay and watch all the ending credits of # fastfive It is worth it!!! You will thank me!!

A few hours later I received this back from him and it made made made my day!!

Thank you 4 tht! RT @krp1021: @dcrist10 make sure to stay and watch all the ending credits of # fastfive It is worth it!!! You will thank me

Yep that's right Dayne Crist thanked me for the info!! I was jumping up and down yelling I was excited!! I am not really a stalker i just follow him on twitter and yesterday I had a chance to give him some helpful info so i did!!

Wesleys Preschool Days

My little Wesley attended the preschool at the high school that the child development class puts on. My cousin Danielle was in the class so I was pretty excited that he would get to be in it with her!! Wesley was you could say a little bit shy!! I think I only got to leave the school once and that was when I tricked him. Me and some other mom's would go down to the library and wait for the kids to get done. I only got to do this after giving Wesley my car keys so he knew I wasn't going to leave!! So for him to go up on the big stage and do the program that was a huge success for us!! I am not sure what next year will bring when he is in real preschool. I am sure it will be hard on us both!! Wesley did have his best little friend Gracie by his side and she is just as shy! They make quite the pair!! Who knows what the future will hold for these two but it will sure be fun to talk about there younger years!!

Moving Mondays

I am really starting to enjoy this..... I just lost Joel Osteen! Hope everyone has a great Monday and an even better week!!

"Quit worrying about how everything is going to turn out. Live one day at a time; better yet, make the most of this moment. It’s good to have a big – picture outlook, to set goals, to establish budgets and make plans, but if you’re always living in the future, you’re never really enjoying the present in the way God wants you to."

Moving Mondays / Determination

This is a really special Moving Monday for me and determination has been key in our journey to find this little girl and it will also be key in bringing her home!!

"No matter how many times you get knocked down, keep getting back up. God sees your resolve. He sees your determination. And when you do everything you can do, that’s when God will step in and do what you can’t do."

Answered Prayers

We are the proud new parents of 9 month old baby Derline! She is so beautiful and we have been waiting and waiting for this day to come!! On Friday May 6 I received an email from Chris the director of the O telling me that if we were ready to accept Derline as our child she was ours!! Could this really be happening.. Was this email for real! I quickly sent Chris an email back saying yes yes yes and then called Zach... I was so so so excited! God is Good oh so very good!! The funny part about this story is I was actually in the parking lot of the dentist office I was getting ready to go in to have my wisdom tooth pulled.... Lets just say I didn't care what they did to my teeth that day all I could think about was this beautiful baby girl!!

We submitted our adoption application back in March of 2010 and we have been down a very bumpy road to get to this point. We journeyed from His Home For Children to New Life Link to Children of The Promise to Kingdom Of Kids Orphanage to River of Hope and then back to His Home For Children where our baby girl was finally waiting for us! There were times we didn't think we were going to make it. We needed all the patience one has but we also knew this was part of God's plan and when he was ready we would know who our baby girl was!!
She is perfect in every way. I love love love her hair it is just wonderful! She is a chubby wubby cuppy cake who we just love and adore!! She is just starting to crawl so we are thinking she will start to loose some of that oh so cute baby fat!! From what we are told she always has a smile and everyone loves her! She loves to sing and dance to the music at the O with the other kids...  It sounds to me like she will fit perfectly in our family!! We are planning on going to visit her in August and I am sure this will be one of the hardest things we will do. Loving on her for a week and then leaving her there will be hard... Haitian adoptions are not fast we are looking at this still taking about 2 years to get her home.. That makes us sad but at the same time we are going to be praying hard for her to be home a lot faster!!

This is the baby girl we have all been praying about! She was brought to the O because her mother died. Her father is a farmer and she has 7 other siblings. Her father did not think he would be able to care for her and continue to farm to take care of the other kids so she ended up at His Home For Children in Haiti. We are so happy to welcome her into our family and we can not wait to give her all kinds of smooches and hugs! The boys are very excited and don't understand the wait... Why does it take so long... Well hopefully it won't take as long as we think but then again who knows.

Mothers Day Weekend 2011 will be one that is very hard to top... We got such wonderful news. It just made for a great weekend!!

Luckey Day??

Could this be our luckey day?? As I was driving back to the shop today with lunch and I was in a hurry on the interstate I seen that a semi wanted over. Being in the trucking industry I usually do what I can to help the truckers out but today I was really in a hurry. I didn't want to let him over but something held me back something said to me Karena just let him over. As he merged over I noticed that his truck said LUCKEY on it. It was the name of his company but to me that said something... I am really hoping that today is our Luckey day and we get some news we have been waiting on. Be Patient~ Prepare To Wait~ Prepare To Be Flexible~

Moving Monday's

Sometime Mondays get the best of us so I thought why not find something uplifiting to get everyone moving on Mondays!! I love Joel Osteen and I picked a quote out of his book Your Best Life Now.  Please feel free to join in with your own Moving Monday with the linky at the bottom!!

"Somebody needs what you have to give. It may not be your money; it may be your time. It may be your listening ear. It may be your arms to encourage. It may be your smile to uplift. Who knows? Maybe just like that little baby, putting your arm around somebody and letting him or her know that you care can help begin to heal that person’s heart. Maybe you can give a rescuing hug."
