Kadatude

So last night when I picked up the boys Kaden has a little bit of an attitude... Yes I said Kaden.. I know hard to believe! Well it was something very silly and he really knows better but I made sure he knew what he did was disrespectful and rude when we got home. He was told to stop playing the play station at 5:00 and when I got there to get him it was 5:10 so I said Kaden put it up.... But I only have 4 more minutes left in the game.. I said Kaden put it up now... So he took the controller and threw/tossed it down on the ground. I was not very happy and I told him about it at moms. But when we got home we had a little talk.. He was grounded from everything electronic in his room until his room was clean and passed my inspection. After his room passed my inspection he then was told to write mammaw a letter saying that he was sorry for being disrespectful and not listening. He did this and I didn't want to see the letter I told him that I trusted him and that what he wrote would be fine.. Today mom told me that she had a nice letter from mr. kaden today!

Tasty Tuesday!

Crock Pot Southwest Chicken Soup
So its been a little while since I've done a Tasty Tuesday.... I have decided that I really missed my crock pot cooking and I am giving this another GO! So here you go I hope you enjoy I know we sure did.. This was way easy and oh sooo Yummy!! I served it over some cornbread and Yum-O : )

Ingredients
1 Bag of Grilled and Ready Chicken Breast Strips
1 - Taco Season Envelope (your favorite brand)
1 can (32 ounces) Tomato Juice
1 Jar of your favorite salsa (16 ounces)
1 can Black Beans (15 ounces)
1 package of frozen corn (10 ounces)
1 cup of water

In crock pot combine all ingredients and stir cook on low for 5-6 hours or on high for 3-4 hours. As this soup cooks the chicken will start to fall apart. Once its done you can garnish with cheddar cheese, sour cream or cilantro. I served mine on some corn bread then topped with sour cream and cheese! YUM-O

Am I a Coffee Snob??

Am I a coffee Snob??
Well I wasn't really for sure but when I came across this definition of a coffee Snob.. I said yep that's me for sure!! I love my coffee and I love taking a moment out of my fast paced stressful life to ENJOY my coffee!

"When we drink coffee, ideas march in like the army” – Honore de Balzac

In my opinion, being a coffee snob is not about thinking you're better than someone else just because you happen to know more about a particular subject. It is simply being passionate about something. It is being able to appreciate and identify quality. It is taking time out of this fast paced, stressful life, to stop and smell the roses (I mean beans)!

All Pieces to The Puzzle

I almost find it hard to believe that I am writing this.. It all still seems like a dream. Its hard to believe that out of 900 + people I picked someone to email that could quite possible change our lives! We have started feeling like doors were closing with His Home for Children so I decided to email someone from the group on my facebook page. Well little did I know emailing that right person could change things in so many ways. I don't expect most to understand this post but I felt like it was possibly a very important piece of a puzzle that we are slowly putting together! Hopefully in the next few weeks I will have some very exciting news to blog about..But until then everyone is just going to have to wait!

Tradition

So every year at Christmas I get a new snow globe from Zach and the boys.. I love snow globes and I think they are so fun and wonderful! I remember the snow globes that we had when we were little and they were plastic and little but yet they were so fun.. I loved shaking them and watching all the snow fall. I started collecting them when I was in high school and it has just continued. Its a special gift that I look forward to opening at Christmas its just one of those traditions that I love!!
Well this year it was a star... I have looked at this star and looked at this star and I just feel like this star is telling me something its who we are going to become! I see the 5 points of the star as my children and I see Zach and I inside the Star... I know you may think I am silly we only have 2 kids currently but I just keep having this same thought!
