The Long Ride Home

Heading home is no fun... vacation is over and now for the fun long drive home....

Well let me just say our drive home from Florida was a long drive. We drove about 10 hours on Saturday coming home and that was plenty for everyone on the trip! Wesley had about had it my Mammaw was having a hard time so we decided to stop just north of Nashville, TN which would leave us with about 6 hours on Sunday. Not bad we can handle that! So we all get up on Sunday and eat some breakfast fill up with gas and on the road we go.

.......Well it was just shortly after we started our last 6 hours of the trip that Wesley decided that he was getting out of his car seat! This child has done this before but oh my gosh never this bad!

My sister was sitting in the back with him and she was trying to hold the buckle so he couldn't undo it. He kept hitting her so I turned around and also tried to help her. He kept kicking and screaming and hitting! There was no talking reason into him so we had to find an exit. Zach was driving and he was going to first just stop on the side of the road. I said no which made him mad, then he missed the next exit so we drove a little further and we found an exit. Zach took the exit. Let me just say don't ever take exit 43 in Kentucky off I-65 this is the cumberland parkway and there is no entrance back onto 65 and you have to drive 10 miles before you can turn around!! I was very very very upset as we pull off this exit and see we can't get back on! We have a screaming child and a upset husband and well that's just not a good mixture!!!!! ........ I ended up driving Zach ended up in the back seat with Wesley and Kaden and my sister ended up front with me! We started driving and Zach says "just use the cut across" I think to myself.... cut across?? ...........huh you want me to commit a crime in front of my children... So I say what the heck are you talking about and kaden who is 8 at the time says the turn around thing in the middle of the road....OMG my 8 year old knows what this is..

Well I would not use the cut across! We drove 10 miles in the wrong direction and then drove about 3 miles through Glasgow, KY and then back 10 miles in the right direction through Cave City, KY.... So needless to say we wasted about 30 minutes of our nice easy 6 hour drive home!

Oh and did I mention that Wesley feel asleep shortly after Zach got in the back seat with him and slept for the next hour!!
AHHH Kids gotta love them!

He really enjoyed being on the beach and playing in the sand! The water that is a different story Wesley still does not care much for Water and wants nothing to do with it! All in All our Vacation was great and it will be nice to be back home and get things back to normal.

Its Raining Its Raining ..... On Vacation

Bowling and Painted Pottery on a Very Rainy Thursday in Not So Sunny Florida! It may not of been beautiful outside but we sure didn't let the yucky weather spoil our vacation fun!! Wesley only bowled a few frames with the rocket launcher and then he was done.. Kaden got to bowl double and didn't seem to have any complaints with that! For some reason I didn't do so well and then we had super star bowler Karie with us. You would of thought she was a pro or something like that! Zach didn't do to well either I think I actually beat him which was pretty funny! After bowling Zach, Kaden, Karie, Danielle and I went over to the Pottery place and my parents and mammaw took Wesley back to the condo for a nap. We decided that we were going to all do a tile and it was a lot of fun. We went in there thinking that we would have to have our stuff mailed back to us but we found out that they would be done and we could pick them up on Friday!! Well after we all got done painting our tiles the sky cleared up the sun came out and it turned into a very nice evening! We headed back to the condo to get the rest of the gang and then off to Angelo's for some yummy Steak! What an interesting experience this was. We got seated in a very large room next to about 6 tables of a new graduating class of Navy Deep Sea Divers. We felt kind of weird about this because when we walked in they were passing around a ore and all saying something. It was really neat being next to them and hearing what they were saying and realizing what they had been through for training and what was still to come and how they were going to serve our country! Really cool experience!

What a beautiful sunset! After a day of all rain and yucky weather we got this beautiful sunset and we took a few pics before going out for dinner! God is Good All the Time! Tomorrow is going to be perfect sunny and 70! Its the last day and we can't wait!!

What a Wonderful Day on Vacation!!

What a great day on vacation! Beach, Pineapple Willy's and Put Put Golf! Doesn't get much better than that. Dad got to Panama City Tuesday night his flight took about 4 hours had a layover in Atlanta and then on to Panama City! Great to have the whole family there. Looking for a few more wonderful days of vacation before we have to head home. I will say I have found that I took more photo's of Wesley this year than Kaden and hopefully Kaden doesn't figure this out and get to upset! I have tons of pictures of Kaden from when he was little and in Florida and now I have some of Wesley! I do love how cute Wesley is with his eyes shut in this picture! Most people say oh my eye's were shut throw it away delete it.. Well not this picture look at how stinking cute he is.. I could just eat him up! And then you have Kaden with the slight head tilt and big grin! Love him to!!

A Bad day at the Beach is still Better than a good day at work!

Well its spring break and we are in not so sunny and not so warm Florida! We are making the best of it. It still beats being at home for the week. We were really just looking for some relaxation and that we are getting. The wind has been awful and it has been cold. It is suppose to warm up for the rest of the week so we have our fingers crossed that the weather man is right! Yep that's right we are counting on the weather man to be right! lol... Oh well better days are to come! So far we have just hung out at the condo. Today we went to Pier Park (the boys got new Crocs and I got new charms for my Pandora and we got some yummy popcorn chocolate covered cherry and chicago style) and then to the Boon Docks for dinner! Tomorrow night my dad is suppose to be flying in and spending the rest of the week with us. Wesley keeps saying that Pappaw is coming on a school bus.... Not sure where he got this from but we think its funny! 4 days left so hopefully we get one good hot sunny day in!!

5. What is your most sentimental possession?
A necklace that my Mammaw gave me. It is a silver chain with this silver whistle on it.. So Pretty I can remember her wearing it when we were little and I loved it. A couple years ago when we were going to Florida she was worried about us and she gave it to me and told me that if anyone tried to take my Kaden from me to just blow on that whistle! I remember the feeling I had when she gave it to me I was so proud to hold that necklace a possession of hers that I always loved was now mine she trusted me with it and had passed it on to me! Very special moment... I love my mammaw and don't know what I would do with out her!
